Gesco Advances Housing Access and Sustainability Through Habitat Partnership

April 24 2026

Gesco continues to strengthen communities across Canada through its ongoing partnership with Habitat for Humanity Canada, supporting both access to affordable housing and sustainable building practices.

In 2025, this collaboration contributed to measurable national impact. Across 23 local Habitat organizations, 847 Canadians gained access to affordable homeownership. At the same time, Gesco supported Habitat ReStores through product donations, helping divert 192,814 pounds of materials from landfill.

These donations play a critical role in Habitat’s model. Quality materials are resold through ReStores, with proceeds directly funding local homebuilding projects. This approach extends the lifecycle of materials while supporting families in need of safe, stable housing.

Beyond material contributions, the partnership supports long-term community outcomes. Access to stable housing creates a foundation for families to plan ahead, pursue education and employment opportunities, and contribute back to their communities.

“Partnerships like this demonstrate how we can expand access to housing while reducing environmental impact,” said Greg Vrantis, Director of Product Development and Marketing, Gesco.

Gesco remains committed to working alongside partners like Habitat for Humanity Canada to expand access to housing and reduce environmental impact across the country.
