SHNIER Summit 2007 is labeled "Best Summit to date!"

Toronto, July 4th, 2007 – The 2007 SHNIER Summit held from June 6th through 8th at the exciting Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort, was “the best summit to date!” according to 400+ attendees. This year’s Summit featured new products, specials, cash & car giveaways, as well as afternoon activities. Guests flew, drove and bussed in from across Canada Wednesday evening to be met with a spectacular view of the falls, as well as food & beverages. The 3 day event kicked-off with the lights on the falls being lit in the SHNIER colour Red, just before the evening drew to a close.

A very funny and light-hearted welcome from the lovable MC Vinnie Verelli kicked off the Thursday morning session, followed by the always eloquent address delivered by Ed duDomaine, President & CEO of SHNIER, Gesco Limited Partnership. duDomaine’s remarks reminded the entire audience – suppliers, dealers & associates – why they do business with SHNIER. Acting globally, Servicing locally, was the message behind Ed’s speech.

Mr. duDomaine also introduced SHNIER’s new board of Directors, including himself, Al Sellery, Chairman of Gesco Limited Partnership & co-founder of Ironbridge Equity Partners, Adam Breslin, Partner of Penfund Management, Scott Clark, Managing Director of Covington Capital Corporation, Jamie Johnston, co-founder Ironbridge Equity Partners, Peter Dowse, Principal, Ironbridge Equity Partners. Ed went on to state that, “There is little doubt in my mind, that for our company, the best is without question, yet to come.”

Installation was the topic of an innovation workshop in which dealers from across Canada brainstormed creative ideas to turn installation from their biggest business challenge into their biggest business advantage.

After a beautiful spring afternoon of golf, shopping & Falls adventures, guests dressed for the Thursday evening gala consisting of a delicious Mediterranean dinner followed by the Annual Sales Achievement Awards. Everyone walked away feeling “happy, happy, happy, happy” after a hilarious performance by the well-known AirFarce comedian, Jessica Holmes.

The Summit closed with a fun & light-hearted impromptu presentation by Paul Green, Director of Sales & Chris Schneider, Director of Marketing, as they gave away $60,000 to winners of the SHNIER Great Spring Giveaway Super Spiff! Terry Moritz of Titan’s Floorcovering took home a cheque for $25,000, after winning his choice of either the cash, a brand new Ford Ranger or a Honda Civic. Another 140 winners walked away with various gift certificates, TV’s, and trips.
