Shnier Co. Hosts the 2006 Summit

Toronto, June 2006 - Shnier held their annual Shnier Summit on June 14th to the 16th, at Blue Mountain Resort in Collingwood, Ontario. The 2006 Industry Flooring Summit was attended by hundred's of dealers from across the country, with numerous Shnier employees and key industry suppliers.

Shnier's CEO, Ed duDomaine, opened the Summit by addressing the Summit theme - "Winning with the Speed of Change". To quote, "The process of change is inevitable, and its speed is obvious. Figuring out how to best successfully cope or deal with these market forces if essential to ones survival, in what is truly a global marketplace." A variety of keynote speakers including Shnier Executives, industry experts, and professional motivational speakers followed the opening address.

Special guest speaker Peter Mansbridge, Chief Correspondent of CBC Television News took the Summit stage to address the audience. Mr Mansbridge spoke about Canada and Canadians in a changing world and shared interesting insights into his over 30 years of experience in National and International journalism. This included accounts of on-location visits to Mid East war zones and conversations with Canadian toops.

Sam Geist, Service Marketing & Sales Expert spoke about the challenge to "implement" ideas plus suggested improvements in our business. Jonathan Trivers, Flooring Industry Consultant spoke about bringing your employees together to your thoughts and motion.

The Summit also included an outstanding showcase of marketing programs and an impressive and diverse line-up of new products and displays. Based on the many comments received, both in person and through the feedback, it was our best Summit yet!
