Shnier Co. Announces Distribution Rights to Robbins Hardwood line from Armstrong

Toronto, October 10, 2006 – The Shnier Co. is pleased to announce an agreement with Armstrong World Industries to be the exclusive distributor in Central and Eastern Canada for Robbins Hardwood flooring products. This new strategic partnership combines the strength of two great companies, Shnier, Canada’s leading National floor covering solutions company, and Armstrong, North Americas largest Hardwood flooring supplier.

The Robbins brand has had a strong and enduring reputation for high-end, quality wood floor covering. The newly re-launched line has been significantly expanded and improved. It consists of both ¾” solid and engineered product in a variety of wood species including Canadian Maple, Birch, Oak, Beech, Cherry, Walnut and Pecan. Board widths range from 2 ¼”to 5” wide plank and all products feature micro beveled edges. The collection features Armstrong’s ForEver ™ finish and is backed by a 25 year residential finish warranty and lifetime structural warranty.

One highlight is the new Gatsby Collection of ¾” solid hardwood which is hand-sculpted and has a very low gloss finish to resemble an oiled floor. Robbins was the first major manufacturer to market with a ¾” solid hand-sculpted floor. Another collection of note is the Artesian Classics series which features wide plank boards with a timeworn distressed finish.

The entire collection will be merchandised using Armstrong’s new and highly effective “tower” display system.
