Shnier Achieves Think Green Certification from Reonac Energy Systems

Brampton, Oct 21, 2011 – Shnier is pleased to receive Think Green Certification as awarded by Think Green Solutions.ca Reonac Energy Systems for the implementation of Think Green Lighting Upgrades within their Brampton warehouse facility.

Shnier spent approximately 14 months conducting a study in their Brampton warehouse facility of T5 and Think induction lighting systems. The result of implementing the new lighting systems is an environmental impact of 462,534 KWH of electricity saved per year. Overall Shnier will save 670,674 lbs of CO2 emissions per year which is the equivalent of taking 75 cars off the road each year or the equivalent of planting 12,894 trees per year. Reonac's Induction Lighting solutions combine forward thinking technology and groundbreaking design allowing increased performance of high intensity lighting and a 55% decrease in energy consumption. In addition to the energy savings of the new lighting system, 163 motion sensors were also added to the lighting system to further increase the energy savings.
