"My\Vision" Flooring Preview Tool added to company brand websites
The latest step forward in flooring.
Brampton, ON: Today, Shnier, A Gesco Company is launching My\Vision – an augmented reality (AR) tool designed to provide consumers a simple way to visualize Shnier flooring products in their own home. This new capability, known as “My\Vision”, is available on both mobile devices and desktops , allowing users to easily browse through hundreds of flooring options, wherever they are.
Unlike other AR tools, My\Vision does not require the user to download a special app. The tool is accessible through the company’s brand websites. My\Vision is so intuitive that it automatically determines the floor space (no manual tracing or measuring of the floor by the user), making it effortless for consumers to instantly see how each type of flooring will look in their desired room.

My/Vision is designed to help consumers quickly find a look that best suits their home.”
Consumers have two options when using the flooring preview tool: a standard room scene image (living room, kitchen, bedroom or bathroom) is available for use, or they can upload their own photo. For example, seconds after taking a picture of a room with a cell phone or tablet, an image is rendered and users have the option to select a different flooring style, filter by product category and colour as well as rotate the direction of the floor.
Users can instantly access product specifications and locate a store near them to see the product in person. Not only can the user save room scene images with their choice of flooring, they can share the photos on social media.
Using My\Vision is as easy as:
- Step 1: Open My/Vision in browser.
- Step 2: Take or upload photo of the room you wish to see in application.
- Step 3: Select flooring, and watch the room transform.
