GESCO Logistics Centre (GLC) Calgary

GESCO, parent company to Shnier and Tierra Sol, is pleased to make the following announcement, with regard to its renewed investment in Western Canada and the Alberta marketplace in particular. This undertaking is in support of a series of recent announcements pertaining to the expansion of GESCO.

Commencing this spring, a new state of the art GESCO Logistics Centre, (to be known as GLC Calgary), will be established at 4000 – 106th. Ave. S.E., Unit 14, Building B, in Calgary. This will form the largest Western Canadian floor covering logistics and service centre in the industry, at 170,000 SF. The facility will be comprised of a central warehouse, as well as multiple showrooms and associated offices specific to Shnier and Tierra Sol. The operation will service the GESCO Group of Companies (today numbering two), and their respective customers. GLC Calgary will utilize the most modern technologies for all warehouse and related pick up functions.

There are multiple reasons for undertaking this investment. First, to improve further the in market customer service levels, so that expectations are exceeded not simply met. Second is to accommodate the growth of each of GESCO’s current independently operated companies. Third, to do all of this in the most efficient manner possible. And fourth, to prepare for what GESCO views as future ongoing expansion in Western Canada, to be achieved both organically and strategically.
